Names

Choose a name that belongs in our world.

Offensive names

Names must not be insulting, racist, sexual, drug-related, harassing or otherwise objectionable.

Invalid name format

Do not use sentence fragments, badly formatted words or nonsensical combinations of letters.

Forbidden advertising

Names may not advertise third-party brands, products, services or real-money trades.

Unsuitable names

Religious or political messages and names that do not fit the medieval fantasy setting are not allowed.

Supporting rule violations

Names must not support, encourage, announce or imply a violation of these rules.

Statements

Keep every conversation civil and useful.

Offensive statements

Insulting, racist, sexual, drug-related, harassing or otherwise objectionable statements are prohibited.

Spamming

Do not excessively repeat messages or post badly formatted or nonsensical text.

Forbidden advertising

Do not advertise third-party brands, services, unrelated content or real-money trades.

Off-topic public statements

Keep religious, political and other unrelated discussions out of public channels and boards.

Language restrictions

Use English in boards and channels where English is explicitly required.

Personal data

Never disclose another person's private or personal information.

Supporting rule violations

Do not support, encourage, announce or imply violations of these rules.

Cheating

Play fairly and protect the integrity of the game.

Bug abuse

Do not exploit obvious errors or unintended game behaviour.

Unofficial software

Do not manipulate the official client or use additional software to automate or alter gameplay.

Oblivion staff

Respect the team responsible for the world.

Impersonating staff

Do not pretend to represent staff or claim to have staff powers.

Slander or agitation

Do not knowingly publish false information about staff or call for a boycott against the server.

False reports

Do not intentionally provide misleading information in reports, complaints, bug reports or support requests.

Legal & account security

Protect accounts, players and server services.

Account trading or sharing

Do not offer, accept or share account credentials with other players.

Hacking

Attempting to steal account credentials or personal data is strictly prohibited.

Attacking the server

Do not attack, disrupt or damage the operation of the server or its services.

Laws and regulations

Follow applicable laws, the service agreement and the rights of third parties.
